Since its establishment in 2017, the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services (SCOSS) has supported eight open science infrastructure (OSI) services determined through a rigorous vetting process to be 1) crucial to an international researcher base, and 2) in need of financial support to secure a sustainable funding path. With three pledging rounds under its belt and over 3.3 million euros raised for OSIs, SCOSS has been consulting widely to formulate a strategy for the coming three years. As step one in this journey, the Board worked with a consultant to gather global stakeholder feedback on how the open science community perceives SCOSS and situates it within the landscape of other OSI initiatives. More than 200 respondents shared their views on what types of OSI should be prioritized for funding and what criteria are taken into consideration when making such choices. The rich survey responses are informing the next phase of SCOSS strategy. This panel of SCOSS Board members will discuss the consultation results and how they are shaping SCOSS’ strategic goals and priorities and activities planned for the future.
