Artificial Intelligence has great potential to transform several facets of the work that we do in libraries. In the summer of 2022, University of Leeds commissioned a research project on the potentiality of AI and Digital Transformations to libraries. This project culminated in a major report that was released in August 2023. The briefing will provide an overview of the valuable insights and practical guidance for libraries that has emerged from this project, focusing on how to harness the power of AI to meet the evolving needs of their users. The project briefing will provide an overview of the report, which includes interviews with experts from all over the world, as well as with relevant practitioners and stakeholders within the University of Leeds. This realistic understanding of library operations will help identify priority areas where AI approaches could benefit both organizations and users.
