A little over a week ago (and my apologies for taking so long to post this here) the US White House, in conjunction with the announcement about the “Year of Open Science” in 2023, issued a really helpful fact sheet (with many links) titled “Fact Sheet: Biden-Harris Administration Announces New Actions to Advance Open and Equitable Research” (January 11, 2023) summarizing a number of recent initiatives by various agencies to advance open research. Note that while these are predominantly science-oriented, they also stress the broader value of open research resources to the nation, and include other research initiatives by agencies such as the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). This is a brief document, and well worth reading (though the links point to voluminous additional material). See
