Scholarly editions of historically significant texts are important in the humanities, but expert editorial work is difficult and funding is scarce. Current Web technology can be used to improve the return on investment by making editors’ work available more quickly, more fully, and more widely. This video includes a report on the successes, as well as on current efforts to exploit linked data to improve descriptive control over research notes and to enable the creation of “structured” notes incorporating temporal, geospatial, or prosopographical information.
