The Pew Research Project on the future of the internet has produced another major report, this time on the future of digital spaces and their role in democracy. The questions here were shared with a very large base of interested people and experts, and comments were also invited from the broader public; the focus was developments between now and 2035. The range of opinions (from very optimistic to very pessimistic) is fascinating. It’s a long report, and many readers may be satisfied with the executive summary and highlights, but I think it sheds light on several very important issues.
