Yesterday, the University of California, Berkeley’s Center for Long Term Cybersecurity (CLTC) released a substantial report titled “CyberSecurity Futures 2030: New Foundations” which explores how the cybersecurity landscape may evolve in 2030; the report is accompanied by a second publication which includes a series of scenarios that were used to seed a series of international discussions that formed the basis of the report. This is some very valuable longer-term thinking, which is a rarity in discussions of cybersecurity, and will be helpful to organizations doing a range of other types of long-term strategic planning.
