Welcome to the CNI Fall 2007 Meeting
Project Briefings (Presentations)
Representatives from the member organizations of the Coalition for Networked Information gather twice annually for Task Force Meetings. The meetings are designed to explore new technologies, content and applications; to further collaboration; to analyze technology policy issues; and to catalyze the development and deployment of new projects.
This year’s fall meeting will be held December 10-11, 2007 at the Renaissance Washington D.C. Hotel. Registration forms were sent to Task Force representatives and guests in early September.
Project Briefings are the very heart of every Task Force Meeting. These are 1-hour break-out sessions which address state-of-the-art developments and issues of interest to the membership, as outlined in each year’s Program Plan. Project briefings will be announced shortly.
Plenary Sessions are held at the beginning and end of each meeting and include presentations of CNI’s latest initiatives as well as insights from national and international leaders in the networked information community. This year, The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation will present its 2007 Awards for Technology Collaboration during the meeting’s opening session, and Timo Hannay, Publishing Director of Nature.com at the Nature Publishing Group, will deliver the closing plenary address.
