- Current (Digital Research Commons): The DRC exists to encourage and facilitate interdisciplinary research and build communities of practice around modern digital research methodologies. Our staff partners with faculty and students in the humanities, social sciences, and experimental
sciences on digital research projects of all sizes. We will work with you from the earliest stages of formulating a research question to publication and beyond. - Emerging (Core Facility for the Digital Humanities): Crafted as a partnership between HPE-DSI and UH Libraries, the Digital Humanities
Core (DHC) consolidates technological infrastructure, research tools, and interdisciplinary expertise to establish a digital project production and publishing facility for UH researchers. The DHC, initiated in 2022, will be housed in and administered by UH Libraries.

What would you like to offer next?
The emerging Core Facility for the Digital Humanities at UH is the result of a 3-year partnership between the Libraries, Division of Research, Central Core Computing, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and College of Technology to plan and implement a centralized set of infrastructures, resources, and programs that provide institutional backing for digital humanities projects of all sizes and varieties–and to do so at scale. This initiative is part of a broader effort at UH to expand shared infrastructure and core facilities for interdisciplinary exploration and research development. This includes emerging technological infrastructures (web hosting and cloud architectures for custom projects), new instructional tracks (via micro-credentialing programs between the Libraries and HPE-Data Science Institute), and community-building programs aimed at forging cross-disciplinary collaborations, ideation sessions, and incubation settings. The DH Core is/will be housed in and administered by UH Libraries. Our unit in the Libraries is in the early implementation phase of this initiative. We have recently introduced a range of hosting solutions and over the course of 2023 will offer instructional tracks for faculty and student practitioners as well as concerted programming.
