Ebooks
Not long ago, many people believed that few individuals would want to read digital editions of books. Now the landscape has changed and a multiplicity of ebook readers, proprietary formats, and licensing schemes exist. CNI provides a forum for discussion of developments in this area, including some of the restrictive policies that some publishers and vendors have developed regarding libraries. Other topics of discussion include educational institutions’ roles in providing content for e-readers, cross-institution licensing issues, and loan of devices.
